Fire at Biddesden House

The Captain travelled to the fire by car.

This is a chimney fire caused by faulty construction. The flue had to be opened and the inner face examined.

Both the roof and the bedroom were damaged and if they followed the usual pattern the brigade would have trimmed the timbers and given details for the reconstruction.
