Fire at Drayton

This call arrived by telegram the incident was a rick fire and the crew worked the steamer from a local stream.

The cause was probably spontaneous combustion usually caused by stacking while still damp. Today the insurance companies refuse to pay out on a policy when this is registered as the cause, many more up to date drying facilities exist today.
